Leafs and Preferred - but no Preferred Leafs

So there was an All-Star game last night - would have been nice to watch...instead, my wife and almost three year old were sick with a stomach bug, I was trying to get a raccoon away from our house as it was coming up to the window and terrorizing our cat, and noticed that our air conditioner was blowing coll air, but not cold air (I am thinking it may be a coolant leak of some kind, but no idea if it is a quick fix, or serious issue. So yeah - didn't end up seeing much of anything for the All-Star game...

The good for now is that, sometimes the Santa Lot 20 gives a great 20 cards, and today is one of those days...

Highlights:

Not one, or two, but three Leafs is a great 20. Factor in two are new for me, one of which is a Sundin card, and it makes a great three. Add in another McDonald's card, and that's 4 great keepers.

The rest
Keepers:

I have all of six or seven 1997 Donruss Preferred cards, and as much as I don't like the set make up of "random" gold silver or bronze by number, I do like the look of these the more I see. A good example here is the Forsberg card - simple, but with nice shiny foil, a great looking card.

Traders:

When you think Cowboy football in Dallas, you have to think of Emmitt Smith. The 1991 Upper Deck Team MVP card is a nice one, even if it is from the "junk wax" era and may have been well over produced. Great picture of him in his younger years. Add in another 2008-09 Fleer Glossy basketball parallel and even these traders are pretty nice.

Through 3080 cards:
Specific Accomplishments:

  1. Hmmm.... Preferred Leaf. That sounds like something one might find in the crowd of a Grateful Dead show.

Anyway, nice haul despite all of the craziness around you! That McDonald's card is especially nice.
