Making Orrigami...

So let's get this out of the way right up front - today's Santa Lot 20 included a Bobby Orr rookie card. As soon as I saw it, I assumed it was a "reprint" (nicer word than forgery) and my first look online, I am almost 100% positive it is - main giveaway being the brightness of the back. It is in awful condition warped to the hilt which you can't totally see with this scan, but trust me. I still wish it was an original even if it would be worth a small fraction of the value given the poor condition, and because of what it is, I will have it checked out at the local card shop anyway to get another opinion, and will let you guys know, but that said - leave your opinions below as well if you like.

So, that said, unless I am off base and it is an original, I have no intention of keeping the "reprint", I would be happy to pass it on to someone who wants it to sit in their collection while they await getting the real thing...personally, I understand the reprint and custom card thing, and think such things are neat, I just have no interest in having them in my collection, but great for those who do. I guess it's better than making origami with it....

Highlights:

We will call this a highlight for now...but not sure if it really is or not...but either way, it is the interesting card from the pull.

The rest
Keepers:

Another Bobby here. Hull was a bit before my time - I am more about Brett as he was in my time of watching hockey growing up.

Traders:

More support for possibly completing sets I don't need a few times over, but could be worse.

Anyway - for those who care (Canadians) - today is federal budget day so as part of my work, it'll be a long day as we digest the budget and get information out and frankly everyone should have an ear to the ground because there is likely someone to effect everyone. As for you non-Canadians out there - you should probably be more afraid of the fact someone who had a hair versus hair match at Wrestlemania may very well end up in the final race for President of the United States....
